KAYLA has more than 20 years experience in ministry and 15 years in business including owning and operating a private Personal Training studio that specialized in helping those with body image and food issues. Much of her ministry and business experiences were spent in leadership roles that included serving alongside women of all ages with personal and professional discipleship, speaking, group facilitating, startup ministries, businesses, and vision casting. In that time, Kayla found herself building up, encouraging, and helping to strengthen those who were burned out, weary, overwhelmed, and stuck in life’s transitions. She continues to serve those even now in such realities of life and loves every moment. Seasoned with realness, humor, compassion, and a deep caring, Kayla has a zest for life and uses her own deep and personal challenges over the years as a bridge to help others discover and rediscover refreshment and restoration in Jesus, all along cheering them on to, “Not Lose heart!”. She is now a modern day “Personal Trainer of the Heart”. Kayla is truly an old soul, and she is passionate about helping others experience the true heart behind edification.
Kayla holds a degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Physical Education and an Advance Certification for Women in Leadership from Light University. She currently is pursuing, alongside her husband Bryan (BJ), a year-long Certification in High Trust Leadership through Truefaced’s Trust One Center. Kayla is also a Film and Commercial Actress known for roles in the films The CURE (in post-production), INK, and a variety of national commercials. She has also written, produced, and directed a variety of short films. Most importantly, Kayla has more than 12 years of experience in speaking to churches, women’s events, MOPS, and youth groups. (Please check out www.kaylabergholz.com for more information about her Speaking and Media).
Kayla loves spending time with family and friends and meeting anyone who has a heart. For fun Kayla enjoys reading heart-felt books, walking her doggie Grey, working out, brisk walks in the sun, and drinking coffee (would eat it if she could). Feed her bubblegum, a gas station coffee, chicken wings, and give her a lottery ticket, and she’s the happiest woman alive! Her favorite pastime is to remind BJ that he’s NOT Nacho Libre which effectively keeps his head on straight.
Kayla and BJ have been married for 14 years, and they continue to rest in the very Hope (but not without challenges) as they continue down the road to having kiddos. They are co-authoring a book at this current time.
What Others are Saying about Kayla
“Kayla ministered encouragement to me at a time when I felt completely empty and burned out, giving life and hope during a critical season of my personal and professional growth. Kayla understands the unique challenges that face women in leadership, and is passionately driven to serve them in ways they don’t even realize they need. I am grateful for the gift of her work in my own life and in the lives of countless others.”
– Constance Rhodes, Founder and CEO, FINDINGbalance, Inc.
The leading Christian resource for DAILY help with eating and body image issues.
“Kayla is one of the most genuine people I’ve ever met. She has been ever-so consistent in being a voice of truth and love in my life, even from miles away. It is rare to find people who care about someone else, when there’s no signs of being able to benefit from them near sight. I’m honored to call her a friend and even a big sister in many ways.”
